POETRY
Manoucher Yektai fell in love with mystical poetry as a child growing up in Iran. He wrote and published his own poetry from an early age. Yektal never stopped writing Poetry. He published numerous compilations of works, as well as the longer form epic poems of the Persian tradition. For example his epic poem Falgush was performed as a play during the Shiraz festival of Arts in 1970. Twenty years later the same director, Parvis Sayyad, mounted another production of Falgush and toured it across America to the delight of the Iranian expatriate community.
